Agriline part 6222 is a complete manual steering box for Massey Ferguson 135 replacing the original OEM part 1673663m91. The steering box setup on the Massey Ferguson 135 can be either 13” (330mm) or 14” (355mm). Tractors Upto serial number 400001 were 13”, tractors after this serial number they were 14”.

Later tractors were fitted with the taller steering column as Massey Ferguson made the height of the fuel tank taller to allow it to carry more fuel, this meant the bonnet side panels and steering gear had to be made taller to allow for the bigger tank.

*Please note* you will need to order a new hydraulic filler plug when ordering 6222 due to the threads being different to the original, part number for the plug is 5317

These steering boxes have a top bearing race with ball bearings and a lower collar which is also fitted with ball bearings. After years of use the bearings and races become warn which in turn causes excess play In the steering wheel.

Rebuilding these steering boxes is a very fiddly job as the balls must be fed into the races whilst being assembled, also the preload needs to be set on the top race to take up any play. 6222 is a complete box allowing you to unbolt your old box and fit a new unit, taking a lot less time than a rebuild.
