Signs of a failing injection pump can be identified if the engine is miss firing, wont idle properly, poor starting, lack of power or excessive black smoke for the exhaust. It is also worth checking the injectors if you have any of these issues. The number one cause for a failing injection pump is down to dirty Fuel.

When replacing the Injection pump, it is important to change the fuel filters and blow out the fuel line to ensure there is nothing to contaminate the new injection pump. These pumps are tested and set correctly in the factory, so you fit the new pump knowing it has been calibrated for your engine’s specification.
